This suspended drum kit called the Boingy Boingy is so ridiculous I just had to share it with you guys.

I’m not saying I wouldn’t give this kit a run if given the chance, it’s just that I’d be too embarrassed to play it in public (kind of like riding a Moped).

Take a look at the Biongy in action to see what I mean…

Here’s a little background on the Boingy kit that I dug up on on Gizmag

The base of the original Boingy Boingy consists of a steel frame with four corner posts. A saddle-equipped oil barrel is suspended horizontally between those posts by automotive suspension springs – two Camaro springs in front for sporty performance, and two Oldsmobile springs in the back for comfort. The drums and cymbals are mounted partially on the barrel and partially on the frame. (more)

If you’ve got $4,000 bucks burning a whole in your pocket the creator, Charlie Rose, will be happy to build one for you.
